The Parasitic Harvest

University project for 2nd year, exploring elements of worldbuilding to produce a narrative illustration.

This village is infested with parasites, where resilient and mutated humanoids have claimed dominance through morphing with the creatures, and are now worshipped by the common folk that reside there. These parasites cause strange glowing growths, which are harvested from the hosts and used as sources of light.

This was my first project that delved into Blender, with the aim of experimenting with how 3d tools can be useful in illustrative/concept work. I had so much fun building up a narrative concept and being able to quickly realise it through 3d - super messy with a lot of mistakes, but had a great time overcoming problems and learning so much in a short amount of time!
